We often mention cocktails and we’ve tasted a few ourselves! So we’ve put together some tips on the top cocktails for you to taste this summer.
Drink responsibly. You must be of legal drinking and buying age to read this article.
Do we still need to introduce you to this French Gin Brand from Maison Ferrand?
Simply garnish with a fresh lemon peel and voilà, you’re set. The size and shape of the peel, straight or twisted, large or small, does not matter as long as it’s fresh. Just mix Citadelle and a high quality tonic water, and you’ll have crafted the perfect drink in no time.
Once served, it emanates herbaceous notes of juniper and anise. Then, the spicy cinnamon side softens the nose, bringing a very gourmand dimension to the gin.
Firstly, we introduced you to this new brand, during lockdown, showing you some DIY cocktails at home. See post: The Perfect Cognac Cocktail for Apéro – Sense of Spirits. Secondly, our Parisian community had the chance to finally test the cocktails during two of our events, and the brand itself has been very well received!
Sweet from the grape but keeping the intensity from the Cognac, those ready-to-sip cocktails sparkle up your summer evenings! Sense of Spirits create inspiring and timeless lifestyle drinks and strive themselves to introduce new ways to let people enjoy cognac differently!

Lillet is an aperitif wine, made from Bordeaux grapes along with macerated fruit liqueurs, which gives it a pleasantly fruity, but not overly sweet, character.
You had the chance to discover this brand during many of our events in Europe, and during the lockdown too. Let’s stick to fresh long drinks that are easy to do at home. No need to be a professional, it’s easy as 1, 2, 3 and your guests’ reactions will be priceless.
Pour 5cl of Lillet Blanc into a glass full of ice cubes. Add 10cl of tonic water and a slice of cucumber. Decorate with one strawberry and a mint leaf. Et voilà!
Preparing a wedding or a private event? Lillet is our personal recommendation. Their univers fit perfectly with the dreamy and magical atmosphere of such an occasion. Don’t hesitate to contact us for any requests.
Going to the south of France this summer? If so, add “taste the pastison” to your to-do list , one of the most refreshing drinks for hot summer days. The name pastis originally comes from the Provençal and means ‘mix’. It now refers to the French aniseed-flavored liqueur with an alcoholic strength of 40% or 45%, for a pastis from Marseille.
How to drink a Ricard? Pour 2,5cl of Ricard into a glass. Add cold water to dilute it. The water will instantly and magically transform your pastis from a clear amber color to a milky greenish-yellow.
Sip slowly on a sunny terrace at the end of the afternoon. Although, if you are not a big fan of the classical pastis, check out their new edition Ricard Plantes fraiches, made with anise exclusively from fresh plants grown on the Valensole plateau in Haute-Provence (France).
We hope we helped you planning your summer Apéros! Don’t forget to feature @aperos_frenchies on your Instagram stories or posts, we can’t wait to share them! Santé!
